Gearing up for 2025!

Last year, the annual Fun-A-Day Project and Show turned 20! 2025 is looking like an interesting year for art-making.

The first project was held in Philadelphia in 2005. Whether it’s your first, 10th, or 20th year,
WELCOME TO FUN-A-DAY HUDSON VALLEY!

The Hudson Valley’s own Fun-A-Day project and show!

Fun-A-Day is a multimedia, all-ages, all-inclusive, non-juried art project in which anyone can participate, and everyone can have fun!

We’re back in 2025, still weary and wary from years of pandemic, but ready to rock! (And ready to wear masks at our show!)

Fun-A-Day began in 2005 in Philadelphia, and just celebrated its TWENTIETH YEAR! In 2013, the Hudson Valley joined in the fun, and we’re keeping it going in 2025!

The premise is simple: pick a project, do it every day in January, then show your work the following month in a big group show. It can be anything you’d like- both artists and non-artists are strongly encouraged to participate! Any Questions?

Hundreds of people will participate in Fun-A-Day this year, with projects from every discipline and level of complexity. Please join in the fun!

Pick a project.

ANY project. What do you want to do? It can be visual art, performance, writing, collecting, or even making a mundane task more fun (Floss-A-Day has happened more than once!) Just commit to try to do it every day in January (and, ideally, document it somehow), and you’re in!

Do it every day in January.

We chose January for many reasons. It’s the coldest, darkest depths of winter - it’s after the bustle of the holidays - many of us have time off at the beginning, so we devote more to our project when it starts - and we get 31 whole days! And then we have something to look forward to in February/March - the show!

Show it off!

This part is completely optional, but we’d love to see what you made! Come to our exhibit (sign up for emails to get more details) and/or put it online - insta or FB at #funadayHV2025.

Many of us find the show to be a motivating factor in finishing our project! it can get rough towards the middle and/or end, but knowing you will get to see other people’s work and that they are excited to see yours can be the right kind of kick in the pants!
